Parking Dispute Leads to Stabbing
A dispute over a parking spot resulted in a man being stabbed 7 times in Queens New York. The spat began when the victim moved cones in the place of a parking spot.
The man who placed the cones there is named Anthony Thomas. Thomas proceeded to charge out of the home shouting “I need two spots, one for mine, one for my wife’s car!”. Few could have predicted just how far Thomas would allegedly go to defend his claimed spots.
After an exchange of words that included one's wife, Thomas went into his home and returned with a 9-inch butcher knife. Shortly after, the victim was left with 7 punctures and was taken to the hospital. Thomas did not resist arrest, and the victim is expected to make a full recovery.
This victim is far from the only person to be assaulted with a knife this year. Below you’ll see that knife assaults occur over 100,000 times annually in the U.S.
The Dos & Don'ts of Dealing with Road Rage 🚙😡
Whether you are attempting to park, or driving on the road, you’ll never know when you’ll come across a road rager. Many are alarmed to find out that ⅓ of all collisions involve road rage. Here are some do’s and don'ts for dealing with road ragers:
✅ Do: Avoid road ragers. The most important thing you can do is disengage, and let the mad motorist get to a safe distance away from you.
✅Do: Report drivers behaving dangerously. It’s important to do this in a fashion that doesn’t distract you from the road. However if you are a passenger and you deem the behavior extreme enough, consider reporting them to authorities.
✅Do: Ignore any obscene language or gestures from a road rager. Engaging just makes things worse.
❌Don’t: Honk your horn. You should only use your horn for defensive purposes. An example of this would be if a driver begins to merge dangerously close into the lane you are in and can’t see you.
❌Don’t: Go home if an aggressive driver is following you. It's much wiser to call authorities or head to the nearest police station.
❌Don’t: Get emotionally invested. Once you let your ego get involved, your decision-making becomes impaired. Get to your destination safely, and then laugh it off later.

Meme of the week 😂
It’s obvious that you increase your chances of getting into an accident when you speed. But if that’s not enough to convince you to drive the speed limit, you should also know that you’ll pay more for gas when you speed⛽. You’ll also hit more red lights as many city layouts are designed for the speed limits in the area. 🚦
